JOB SUMMARY: Develop/ perform manual test and automated test scripts under senior tester supervision. Oversee and/or participate in test case execution and test automation development when appropriate. Configure and maintain test lab environments and test equipments. Generate, review, and route for approval in change control system such development artifacts as Test Scripts, Verification and Validation reports, Requirement Traceability Matrixes and Risk Analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned:
Review requirement documents for accuracy, clarity, and requirement testability. Creates Test Cases utilizing a Test Case Management system. Perform manual tests. Create automated test scripts and perform automated tests. Executes Test Procedures and reports on results through a Test Case Management system. Reviews Test results and provide necessary information for product state reporting. Participates in the continuous improvement of test processes for Best Practices. Works with developers and business analysis to improve product quality and usability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
„XBachelors degree in a computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or information technology. „XMust have 1-3 years progressive software industry experience or equivalent. „XMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. „XMust be able to work in the absence of complete information and remain able to make timely, high quality decisions. „XMust be able to analyze and troubleshoot using tools and technologies such as WinDBG, Event Logs, and Crash Dumps etc. „XMust have experience with Database, preferably with MS SQL Server 2000 or later. Understand basic database relationships, simple select statements, open and manipulate database tables; SQL scripting skill is a plus. „XMust have knowledge of Windows/Linux/Unix operating systems. „XMust have a strong ability to work in a team environment while possessing the ability to remain focused when working alone on a project. „XPrefer have experience with in n-tiered software systems. „XPrefer formal classroom technical writing experience. „XPrefer healthcare, medical devices, or clinical experience. „XPrefer experience in development of commercial software technology solutions. „XMust know how to investigate problems and develop solutions independently. „XPrefer experience with TCP/IP protocols, topologies and troubleshooting. „XPrefer experience with collaborative team source control systems, preferably Rational ClearCase. „XPrefer experience with Test Management Systems, preferably Rational test tools. „XPrefer experience with products working in a 24/7 environment. „XPrefer experience with healthcare industry standards (e.g. EDI, HL7, ANSI, etc.) „XPreferred experience with Scrum and Agile Development
